Yo, so Amelia Morrison can’t handle the mess from her hometown Rzekiva, so she bounces to the city to try and fix her life, dude. Life there is like this boring loop, but no matter how much she tries to forget, those Rzekiva memories keep coming back, bro. And even though they suck, they hint that maybe what went down in Rzekiva wasn’t all it seemed.
As Amelia digs deeper, everything around her starts going crazy, and she's right in the middle of it all, buddy. Trust and truth are super rare now.
Butterfly//Circuit is set in this grey city called Centropol in the New European Federated Economic Territory (NEFET). In this concrete jungle, surveillance and control are just part of daily life. But Amelia’s got way bigger problems. There are secret conspiracies hidden tunnels, and lost tech stuff everywhere, and she has gotta figure it all out.
She meets a bunch of new and old faces and has to be smart about who she trusts and who she keeps at a distance. You may also be interested in the game Dungeon Board.
From the new solo dev WireWARE with help from the MVU, Butterfly//Circuit is a cybergothic kinetic visual novel with a wild, twisting drama mixed with some serious psychological horror vibes. It’s kinda like Serial Experiments Lain, Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, and David Lynch's stuff. The game’s got a super intense atmosphere with cool original art and a soundtrack that slaps, from banging techno and chill trip-hop to moody post-rock and creepy drones.
