Rivals 2 is like, the next level of the whole platform fighting scene! If you’ve heard of Rivals of Aether, you know it’s got some serious depth but is still easy to jump into. And Rivals 2 just takes it up a notch!
Rivals 2 isn’t holding back at all! We’ve got shields, ledges, grabs, and throws now. Plus, there are three new special moves to mess around with. You got the Pummel Special for when you’ve got someone grabbed, the Ledge Special for hanging on edges, and the Getup Special for when you’re knocked down. These moves totally shake up how you play.
Zetterburn’s back, bro! He’s like, the face of the game, and perfect if you’re just starting out. He’s from the Firelands, a total beast with his claws and fire powers. His special attacks set foes on fire causing burn damage. Other than that, he can create fire on the stage and use it to his advantage with moves like Fire Amp.
Then there’s Ranno, the punching pacifist, yo! He used to be this fierce martial artist, but now he is all about defending his swamp. He’s got this poison game going on with moves that stack up poison and trap enemies in a Toxic Bubble Trap. His Poison Spin lets him recover onto the stage in style with a bunch of poison darts. Don’t forget Wrastor, the high-flying dude! He’s the youngest ever at the Air Academy and totally makes the skies his playground. He can jump four times, control the air with his Wind Current, and unleash powerful aerial attacks.
And Kragg’s back too! This dude’s the ultimate defender of the Aetherian Forest. He controls rocks and earth, throwing them around with Rock Hurl and using his Defense Ball to roll into enemies. His Earth Pillar move is clutch for saving him from falling off the stage.
Last but not least, Fleet’s making her debut! She’s from Dungeons of Aether and claims to protect her town Julesvale, even though she’s more of a clumsy hero. Her bow can trap enemies in a tornado with her Gem of Wind, and she can make wind currents for extra pressure. Plus, she’s got this Pick Pocket move to get stamina back by munching on food! So, grab your controller and dive into Rivals 2, bro!
